Head of Junior School Football

JAMIE DIXON

Jamie is regarded as one of the best Skills Acquisition coaches within Australia and has an exceptional ability when it comes to getting the best out of young footballers. Jamie started his coaching career with Stoke City FC in the UK before migrating to Australia.

Upon Jamie's arrival in Australia, he joined Olympic FC as director of coaching where he helped build their junior academy during its foundation year with the National Premier League. Jamie then moved on to work with Western Pride as Head of Technical Coaching, followed by working with Brisbane Roar FC as Head of Pre-Academy.

Jamie will lead our football programme for our youngest players from grades 4 to 6. Jamie will ensure that the environment allows Queensland Football School students to be creative and provide them with the freedom to try things free from criticism, encouraging expression and play that is only limited by imagination.

"I am very excited to join a great project that is going to make such a big difference to so many young lives. Whether we are working with elite performers or young children, the emphasis must be for them to love the game. We are developing an educational and football development program which will allow students to complete their educational studies whilst pursuing a career in football. Abilities will differ, but the standard of coaching will not; nor will my passion and enthusiasm to see children improve, achieve and smile. I look forward to the future with excitement at Queensland Football School."
